Meep 1.3

Overview:

Meep 1.3 is a thorough revision of 1.2, and hosts a set of new features and patches.
Meep 1.3 is backwards compatible with 1.2 only.

Changes:

  1. Added targeted user notifications [New]
  2. Theme and visual aesthetics have been redone [New]
  3. Minor word screening has been implemented [New]
  4. Users entering/exiting a session are now declared [New]
  5. Commands are no longer visible to everyone [New]
  6. Loading screens have been added [New]
  7. Incorrect seeds no longer result in popups [Fix]
  8. Code efficiency across various functions improved [Fix]
  9. Crashes relating to server connection dropout no longer occur [Fix]
  10. Application no longer freezes while waiting for host reply [Fix]

Outstanding Issues:

  • Inconsistencies in Seed/User ID triggered popup's have not been addressed.
  • File size's upon compilation are rather large
  • Application threads are not properly closed when using pyinstaller with python 2.7
  • Exception handling is still rather poor.
  • Use of threads to avoid socket blocking (application freezing) is highly inefficient.
